So after reading this story, I told myself that I have to start reviewing all that I have read from wattpad. And in a way tell something about them, so I could revisit the feelings I have felt while reading them through visiting this blog.
What is it about love stories and their happy endings. I get lost in the beauty of the heart-warming cliches that make girl fall so hard for love itself. I love fairy tales. And that probably isn't cool and all, but I'm just so pathetic I can't even deny it.
This is a story about Wade Sexyyyyy (hellyeahhahahahahlol) Rivas and Reina Carmela Elizalde. They started being friends when they were in first year college. Reina actually liked Wade first because he's all mysterious and good-looking. He has this hidden kindness that she actually could see behind the surface. They became close and eventually they fell for each other. But the conflict came when she discovered that he only became friends with her to get close to her brother, Noah, who belongs to this cool band, Zeus. She was hurt of course, but she just didn't try to hear his defense. Wade admitted that that deal was true - that the initial reason he befriended her was for his to have a good enough chance to be chosen as the vocalist of Zeus. He, however, failed to explain that as he tries to accomplish the plan, he fell madly and hopelessly in love with her in the process.
So, Reina felt betrayed and all and left the Philippines to pursue her dream of becoming a fashion designer. She studied in Paris, barricading herself from all of the news in the Philippines. She only got in touch with her brothers and her bestfriend. She totally excluded Wade in the picture. Meanwhile, Wade persevered hard to achieve his dreams. He became a famous rockstar (vocalist of Going South), a model, and (well!) a certified hottie. He even tried to follow Reina in Paris, despite all the hurt, only to find her happy with another guy, Liam, who actually was just her friend.
After four years (I think), Reina came back to the Philippines and met Wade again. They tried to not feel awkward when they randomly meet, and they almost destroyed themselves pretending they're not in love with each other. So after all the drama, all those jealousy and all the revenge schemes gone totally wrong, they finally got the courage to admit to each other their feelings.
The problem after then was Wade's fans will get really angry at Reina and bash her if they found out about their relationship. So they hid it. And that is brutally excruciating (And I'm just a third person here, huh. Totally not involved whatsoever in the story. How come I could feel the brutality of it all. Hahaha. This is ridiculous.) I've witnessed how their story transpired (even if just from afar - behind my computer, to be exact. :D) and I could not doubt the purity of the love they feel for each other. It's just that sometimes, life just doesn't go the way you want it to and you miss some of the chances and all gets messed up.
Eventually, Wade proved her love to Reina when he told the public that he's quitting Going South and choosing Reina over everything else. This was triggered when the public discovered about their relationship and Reina got bashed and insulted over the Internet. Not bearing to contain his awesomeness, Wade just related to everyone their love story and how he felt about her in a press conference. And though that, he even proved himself to Reina's parents and siblings who later on consented on their wedding.
So there was this Going South come-back concert and Reina was clueless that that day of the concert, there in Arenata, will also be their wedding day. So they married each other, right there, in front of all the fans and their families. THE END
Pure love at its most incredible state, isn't it? Amazing. Heartwarming. Riveting. Awe-inspiring.
The beginning of the story was some kind of romcom for me. I was laughing throughout dozens of chapters nonstop. And I at some point have to cover my mouth with the back of my hand and toss myself in bed untiringly. Hahahah. That much, author! I was laughing so hard.
And when they broke up in Alegria, I was like "You send my heart rocketing to the sky, only to shoot it straight and let it fall dead on the ground." I am a sucker for happy endings really. And I get so sad too when the main characters find it hard to figure out the best decisions they could make under the circumstances they're in. In a way, don't you think, we learn from their mistakes. And I am hoping that when you come across this kind of stories, you will keep all the learning you could possibly get from it. (As for me, I am doing my best to collect what I could collect. It's so much fun to live while learning and learn while living. It's a good life.)
I loved the story, the way it was written, and the possibility of it happening in reality (Not the rockstar and rich girl kind of thing, no. I think it's about how you are willing to give up everything just to be with that one person that you are willing to trade the world for and how one who dreams to reach the stars could try his best to conjure up wings for him to fly.) Thank you, author. (If you ever read this in any way... | Nice to indirectly meet you!)
You may read it on wattpad. And follow the author. I found her stories cool. Or you may buy copies in the bookstores nationwide. :)
